1968 (A Big Year)
A prime focus for 1968 was to raise funds for the new building. By the 2nd anniversary 94 children were attending the Bible School and Cradle Roll. To accommodate folk for that service, tarpaulins were erected over the front of the Wilson home, using the patio as a stage. Home Missions Director, Alex Surtees was so impressed with the energy, resourcefulness and faithfulness of the members and friends, he headlined their work in the Christian Echo with the words " KEEP YOUR EYES ON ARANA HILLS" |
Rosevale Church of Christ generously responded by promising over $1000 up front and supplementing the repayments on any loan. (Later in the year, almost all the members travelled to Rosevale to personally thank them for their support.
On May 22, 2 years to the day Arana Hills commenced, Ray and June rejoiced with the safe arrival of their third child, Andrew Raymond.
Mr Bob Neville was the first to be baptised at the Kedron Church of Christ by Col McCosker.
