Building Vision 2020 update
Air-Conditioning
If you haven’t already heard, Moreton Bay Regional Council has granted Arana funds to install air-conditioning in our upstairs hall! This is very exciting, not just because we now have the financial capacity to install air con, but this shows that our council supports us and believes in what we are doing in and through our church building.
The installation work begins next week and is scheduled to be completed before we return to regular gatherings. The only possible place for the unit to be installed is in the space where we project our service slides, making the current orientation of our stage impractical for church services and other gatherings. For this reason, we began discussions about the possibility of beginning our Building Vision 2020 project (image of concept plan attached) and have seen God open many doors that enables us to see this vision come to fruition in a much smaller and faster timeframe that we had initially anticipated.
Stage Orientation
In order to recommence onsite services with the relaxation of restrictions in July, and to return to a suitable space to host our services, we need to begin works now. With our access Marist180 support and the unique opportunity that our building is mostly vacant at this time, we believe this is achievable within the short timeframe.
We are therefore starting the first phase of this project. The works of this phase will include:
As a church community, we have been discussing this project for a few months, seeking consultation with church members and discussing implications and opportunities with leadership teams and the project team. We believe this isn’t just something that we are doing, but it is something that God is doing, and we want to walk in step with him and where he is leading us.
If you would like to hear more about this project and discuss any questions you may have, we would love to invite you to a Zoom discussion this Sunday, 21st June at 10:30am. Please click this link to access the meeting: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83336373353(Meeting ID: 833 3637 3353).
